BDG: BIG DESIGN GALA

The time has come! BDG (Big Design Gala) tickets are LIVE!

This one of a kind event is getting its official debut on October 20 and you won’t want to miss it!

Not sure what this even is? That’s okay; we’ve got you. Big Design Gala gives each team a box full of surprise goodies from our material sponsors. What’s in there? That’s the fun part! Could be carpet. Could be twine. It could be the mesh from the back of your favorite conference chair. It’s the teams’ job to take those unique materials and create something over the course of a week. A beautiful piece of art. A flying car made of acoustical tile. A true-sized likeness of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Sky’s the limit!

All our teams’ creations will be on display at the Big Design Gala at Haw Contemporary on October 20^th for our incredible judges to view and render a winner! Our esteemed judges include: Whitney Lawson from Lamar Johnson, St. Louis; Sike from Sike Style Industries; Ruki Neuhold-Ravikumar from Kansas City Art Institute

COMPETITION RULES:

• Teams must use a portion of all materials from the box.
• Teams can add additional materials to the installation but can only be 25% of the final design.
• Teams must name the installation and write a 150 word max description. This will be printed and on display during the event.
